Healthy-Weight (“we”, “us”, or “our”) operates the website healthy-weight.com (the “Site”). This Privacy Policy explains how we collect, use, and protect information when you visit our Site. By using our Site, you agree to the practices described in this policy.

Healthy-Weight does not require you to create an account or submit personal information to access our content or calculators. All health calculators on our Site run entirely in your browser — your height, weight, age, and other inputs are never transmitted to our servers.

When you visit our Site, we and our third-party service providers may automatically collect certain technical information, including:

  • IP address (used for approximate geolocation, not stored permanently)

1.3 Email Newsletter (If Applicable)

If you voluntarily subscribe to our newsletter, we collect your email address. We use this solely to send content-based newsletters with multiple links. We do not send solo marketing emails. You can unsubscribe at any time using the opt-out link included in every email. We maintain suppression lists as required by our affiliate partners.

  • MaxBounty / Affiliate3e3 — Affiliate tracking and referral attribution

5. Data Retention

We retain analytics data for a maximum of 26 months. Email subscriber data is retained until you unsubscribe. Affiliate tracking cookie retention is governed by the respective affiliate network. We do not maintain long-term profiles of individual users.

6. Your Rights — California (CCPA / CPRA)

If you are a California resident, the California Consumer Privacy Act (CCPA) and California Privacy Rights Act (CPRA) grant you the following rights:

  • Right to Limit Use of Sensitive Personal Information — We do not collect sensitive personal information (health data, biometrics, etc.) on our Site
  • Right to Non-Discrimination — We will not discriminate against you for exercising your privacy rights

Our lawful basis for processing is legitimate interest (analytics and Site improvement) and consent (newsletter and non-essential cookies). To exercise your rights, contact privacy@healthy-weight.com. You also have the right to lodge a complaint with your local data protection authority.

8. Children’s Privacy

Our Site is not directed to individuals under the age of 18. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 18. If you believe we have collected information from a child under 18, please contact us and we will promptly delete it.

We implement reasonable technical and organizational measures to protect information, including HTTPS encryption (TLS 1.3), secure server infrastructure, and access controls. However, no method of transmission over the internet is 100% secure, and we cannot guarantee absolute security.

10. Do Not Track Signals

Some browsers offer a “Do Not Track” (DNT) signal. Our Site does not currently respond to DNT signals, as there is no industry consensus on how to interpret them. You can manage tracking through your browser cookie settings as described in Section 3.

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. We will update the “Last updated” date at the top of this page. We encourage you to review this policy periodically. Material changes will be posted on this page.
