The hard truth about marketplace coverage
Weight-loss drugs are not an Essential Health Benefit under the ACA — so marketplace plans aren't required to cover them, and most don't. But "most" isn't "all": a minority of plans in a minority of states do cover Wegovy or Zepbound, and finding them is worth real money.

- Check the tier and PA flag — Tier 3+ with PA is typical when covered.
- Call member services and ask: "Is Wegovy covered for obesity, ICD-10 E66.01?" Get the answer in writing.
